As far as I’m concerned, Wizkid is arguably the best Afro Pop ambassador we have. (By the way, we argue a lot about that here.) First off, consider that he’s had a sustained run of hits to follow a (by-now-undisputed) classic debut album…that came out over a decade ago! Throughout, he has remained consistent, on message and in lockstep with emerging sub-genres. Unsurprisingly, his new single, the oft-delayed “Joro”, has quickly become ubiquitous…in spite of a bordeline irksome one-word chorus. The guy has always had a knack for what it works and that flair has yet to betray him. Accordingly, the playlist is in line with the mood of the Starboy’s latest hit. Enjoy!

Enjoy and come back soon...
I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
