Don’t let the title mislead you. Yes, Chicago is represented in this playlist with the likes of BJ The Chicago Kid and Vic Mensa. No, this got nothing to do with Mr. West. But as Nigerians will be quick to quip, “The only ‘Ye’ we recognize is Burna Boy’s.” It’s one of the numerous bangers off of his undeniable and much-lauded album Outside. Its video is pure delight to the eye. (Clarence Peters and his team have been on another level this year!) It’s only right “Ye” got the nod to lead this lineup that will induce vigorous head nods throughout.

Hewa Yasin
