R&Cs: Do Better

A couple of years ago, Stormzy released his first studio album. Gang Signs & Prayer, which was characterized by a brilliant blend of fiery braggadocio, instropective musings and spiritual nods, was a commercial and critical success and propulsed the British emcee to the upper echelon of music creatives. His second album, the just released Heavy Is The Head (and its leading singles “Vossi Bop”, “Wiley Flow“, “Own It”, and now “Do Better”), looks set to add to the momentum and you won’t find none happier than us here!

Hewa Yasin

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
