Roll and Coasters: Blessed

R&Cs: Blessed

Shenseea has been making her bones in dancehall for a few years now. She’s been regaling us with dancefloor sure shots time and again: “Close to Me” (with Kes), “Hard Drive“, “Instruction“, “Pon Mi” and “Shen Yeng Anthem” are some of the notables. So it was with absolute glee that we received her latest single, “Blessed”, which has all the makings of a global hit. I keep the party going with the likes of Afro B, Mr Eazi, Rema and DJ Tira. Sound it!

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
