I’ve been talking up the summer and the bangers that usually come with it. Well, summer’s here and it’s not looking disappointing at all. Stefflon Don’s star has been on the rise for a couple years now. She broke through with “Hurtin’ Me” last fall and she’s poised to keep us on our feet for the next few months with “Senseless”. On the other end of the spectrum, Jay Rock is out to develop our neck muscles with his album, Redemption. “Win” was the first shot; “The Bloodiest” is the latest salvo. There’s more. If you’ve not been keeping up with the likes of Adekunle Gold, NAV, Naza, Olamide and Shirazee, then you will definitely be chanting their names by the time this sizzling summer comes to an end.
