R&Cs: Waves

Looking ahead to the upcoming International’s Women Day, I ensured to have female voices guide us through the playlist. I hope to pull off something more in-depth on March 8th, so let’s just call this one a practice round. As far as I know, “Waves” is Normani’s (formerly of Fifth Harmony) first solo single and, if you consider her recent works with Khalid and Sam Smith, the future is quite bright for the young lady. Other bright spots here: Becky G, Ciara (duh!), Kacey Musgrave (duuuh!), Katelyn Tarver, Natti Natasha and Summerella.

Hewa Yasin

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives.
