Roll and Coasters: Beautiful to Me

In the crooner category, the continent is loaded with talent and we try to give them their due shine as much as we can here. I’ve been particularly effusive with likes of Mlindo The Vocalist and Sjava. “Beautiful to Me”, the latest single of his new album (The African Gentleman), gives me the opportunity to be as enthusiastic — at last — about the prowesses of Nigerian singer Ric Hassani. I strongly recommend that you listen to his album to better grasp the many reasons why his stock is high in my book. It’s only right to have him as the pace setter as we travel around the world to fill up this playlist: take off in Nigeria and layovers in Congo, Jamaica, Tanzania, and the UK among others. Enjoy the trip!
