Sometimes you have to give in to your biases. And it’s easy when the people you tend to favor come through in a major way. For instance, I’ve been a big fan of Bemyoda (a fellow geek turned crooner) for a while now and I was elated to see a video for another gem (“Complicated”) off his excellent debut album, Stark (2017). The video treatment is as precious as the song. And then you have my fellow East Africans. The pool of talent is very very (!) deep and I had to make some cuts to keep within the 20-song limit I violated last time. Finally, I had to include the ageless Kylie Minogue who, like Toni Braxton, seems to defy time. Sometimes you have to give in to your biases…
