Roll and Coasters: Down Bad

R&Cs: Down Bad

It bears repeating that Dreamville’s ROTD3 compilation is absolutely jam-packed! So, it shouldn’t surprise to expect and fete a long rollout of singles. “Down Bad” picks up where the DaBaby-assisted “Under The Sun” left off. There’s NO WAY I’d have been able to sustain the frenetic pace that J. Cole and crew start us off with. Instead, I went for tracks that would pack as much of a punch from the outset. I believe you will quickly grasp what I tried to do here. (It goes without saying… I believe you will enjoy this too.)

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
