R&Cs: Benjamin

We’re still on that Akon tip; it’s a given that a multi-album rollout will demand numerous singles being released at the same time. “Benjamin” is meant to bring forth Akon’s “hip-hop” facet. We’ll eye-roll and ignore the marketing pitch here, yet still show love off of the song’s strength and the artist’s cachet. Hewa Yasin

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives.
