Burna Boy had a great year and, by all indications, he’s still on tear. After his firecracker collaboration with the Zanku champion Zlatan (on “Killin Dem“), Burna Boy reloaded with “Dangote”, an ode to the hustling and grinding disposition of young Nigerians to overcome their hardships and lack of job prospects. He’s joined on this playlist with several artists making serious waves this year: from 2 Chainz in rap to Zaz in jazzy pop. Enjoy!

Hewa Yasin

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives.
