Roll and Coasters: Off Deez

R&Cs: Off Deez

If you’ve slept on J.I.D debut album, please don’t repeat the same mistake with the sophomore effort. Never mind that the video for the single “Off Deez” is racking up views at an incredible pace. Never mind that his labelmate is accusing you of lack of self respect. DiCaprio 2 is that good! is in the upper ranks of dope albums that came this year. (And there are so many.)

Let’s go through a few housekeeping items before I let you enjoy this 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 of a playlist. Lately, I’ve been including songs whose videos that may have been released much earlier in the year. I never got to put playlists around them at the time but they deserve the shine. Artwork pic is thanks to Hazz — Definitely #WCW 😍. OK, I’m done!

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
