Roll and Coasters: Let Me Live

R&Cs: Let Me Live

A few months ago (I believe), “Let Me Live”, a joint collaboration involving artists from the UK, the USA, Jamaica, Trinidad and Nigeria, was unleashed. Asides a spot in another fire ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ playlist, I marked this song for a special playlist extolling the qualities of women. (That should come out next week hopefully.) It’s just that…with the flurry of official remixes and a dance video that have accompanied this song the past few days, I had to spotlight “Let Me Live”. And I can guarantee that you won’t be mad at that. Just enjoy, dance a little and fan yourself.

My fellow East Africans are a major part of this playlist. However, they seem to be apprehensive of the major streaming platforms, so the best way to listen to this playlist would be on YouTube.

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
