R&Cs: Caterpillar

Royce’s Book of Ryan will go down as one of the best project from 2018. It’s quite telling when the Bad Meets Evil reunion on the banging “Caterpillar” is a side note. Yes, the album was such a doozy! Here, the aforementioned single leads a strong pack of spitters that span both (US) coasts and genders – I also dipped a little bit in the ebullient UK hip-hop scene. There’s a welcome Christina Aguilera sighting and refreshing new voices from the thriving African Pop to round it all up.

Hewa Yasin

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives.
