Roll and Coasters: Come and See Me

R&Cs: Come and See Me

I’m sure we can all appreciate a music video that can cause a little stir. Such is the case with “Come and See Me” and the Kylie Jenner leading role. But, besides the music videos that I think deserve your precious time, there’s much to be said of the related albums/EPs they support as well as those projects that are yet to come.

Bas (Too High to Riot), Beyoncé (Lemonade), BJ The Chicago Kid (In My Mind), Jon Bellion (The Human Condition), Vic Mensa (There’s Alot Going On) and YG (Still Brazy) for instance have released works that rank from solid to outstanding this year. And I’m expecting a similar output from the likes of Madame Monsieur, Patoranking and S.Pri Noir. The supporting visuals are not too shabby either. (You might want to exercise caution though. Konshens’ is certainly teetering towards NSFW territory.)

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
