Diplo - Give and Go

Sure Play: the Give and Go with Diplo

Hey, the NBA playoffs are finally here and that’s as good an excuse as any to pull out a mix from Diplo, one third of Major Lazer. OK, The Give and Go mixtape was released around the NBA All Star Weekend. But I give you two reasons why this is best suited to celebrate the playoffs: the game commentary that Diplo chose for the intro, and the pace of the mix – it’s electrifying! Whenever, every now and then, Diplo wants to remind us that his roots are deep into hip-hop, we get gems like this mix. Salute!

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
