R&Cs: Se Eu Soubesse

I’m not sure whether C4 Pedro came to my ear radar before his collaboration with Sauti Sol or not; whatever the case is, I’ve been on the lookout for his material ever since. The latest offering from the Angolan crooner, “Se Eu Soubesse” — it means, “If I knew” in Portuguese — is a single off his The Gentleman album to follow up the sensational King Ckwa (2015). The ballad is the ideal lead for a pack of latin bops — You might have noticed that I’m quite fond of those — as we ease into the new crop of dancehall talents by way of the mother continent. Don’t ask me how it works, just enjoy the ride 😉.

Hewa Yasin
