Haze and Phases 4

Let us recall the idea behind this playlist series: no rules, just get in zone, and pick what sticks to your mind at the time. You can go back to my last (!)two (!) contributions to know that I put a bit more thought into it and this here is no different. Here I was thinking pop music. I was thinking how that term has a negative connotation (most of the time!). Yet, the more you look into pop music, the more you understand it as a catch-all term referring essentially to songs that have transcended their “native” — or “ascribed” — genres and catapulted into the realm of general popularity. By that notion, everything can become pop music. I feel like my choices in this playlist reflect the above. (I’ll touch on the dark/bad side of pop music in the next volume of this series soon but for now…) Let’s take flight!
