The plan was to follow-up on a wink and release this last Sunday. But then the notifications on my phone delivered the devastating Kobe news and I’ve been out of sorts ever since. In my grief, I’m trying to honor my idol and the best way to do so might be to key into his mamba mentality and work harder at what I love to do. I’ve had a great time putting this playlist together and I’m excited to share it and talk about it. There are four albums that guided my choices when I was putting this together: 070 Shake’s Modus Vivendi, Emimem’s Music to Be Murdered By, KAYTRANADA’s BUBBA, and Stormzy’s Heavy Is the Head. I recommend them wholeheartedly!!!
