R&Cs: Cool People

In between seasons of Grown-ish, Chloe and Halle Bailey, a sister duo of multihyphenates, released one of the more outstanding albums of 2018, The Kids Are Alright. Chloe x Halle’s latest single, the breezy “Cool People”, is reflective of the genre bending and melding that we’re regaled with on the album. It’s also the perfect way to start a playlist full of artists that refuse to be boxed into a single genre’s aesthetics.

Hewa Yasin

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives.
