In introducing his music directorial debut for his Laleh-penned single, Adam Lambert wrote the following: “‘Welcome to the Show’ is an anthem about facing exactly who you are and owning it. It’s intended as a mantra to inspire strength and pride.” And today’s selection reflects those ideals whether in song lyrical content or video treatment. It also offers stories of resilience like Mara Prună’s. Diagnosed with autism from a tender age, the teenage Romanian has leaed to thrive in spite of her Asperger’s Syndrome through the therapy music. She plays the piano, composes, writes and sings competitively. She placed high on the Romanian show, Romanii Au Talent, and even landed superstar Andra on her composition, “Sweet Dreams.”
