Welcome to March folks. I hope all of us are taking the necessary precautions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In any case, I’m back with another edition of a much needed Smoke x Mirrors<\/i>; after all, as 2Baba says, “We must groove<\/i>“. And with this I’d like to express my enthusiasm for the current confluence between the music I grew up with and the music being made today. On one hand, you have the new guys crafting with nods to those that paved the way for them in the form of sampling and interpolation. On the other, the vets are finding novel ways to stay relevant by adjusting to the times and operate in a more supportive capacity. I have several examples in this playlist but I’ll leave you with the pleasure to discover them.<\/p>\n
