Before I launch into this playlist and the lead track, “Souris verte”, let me first note that we at The Buck Stop have been out of commission for a few days. We were all gutted to learn that our childhood idol Kobe Bryant, along with his daughter and seven others, were killed in a helicopter crash. We will do our best to address our feelings about that devastating event in due time. In the meantime, we’ll keep the music flowing.<\/p>\n

In terms of skill and talent, Naza, a French artist with DRC roots, is possibly one of the most gifted young cats that I’ve had the pleasure to listen. Over a short period, he’s masterfully engineered or contributed hits in multiple music genres. His latest single is am audacious reinterpretation of popular nursery rhymes. And he pulled it off with gusto! It’s a natural choice to lead today’s playlist that gives a nod to all the genres Naza has been involved in and – who knows? – may be experimenting in soon.
