It’s been a while<\/a> since we’ve had Burna Boy start us off on one of these. He’s released an absolute gem of an album<\/a> and we can bet the bank that it’s gonna be making shock waves for months to come. And you can bet that we’ll enjoy those waves as they roll through. (Hell, we’re already in full delight about it over here<\/a>.) The just-released video for “Gum Body”, Burna’s duet with Jorja Smith, is as good an opportunity as any to use it as lead for this playlist. We take a cue from the song subject matter and (somehow) we end up with some fierce displays of lyricism from some of Africa’s best. Let’s go!<\/p>\n
