We should all be ecstatic that Missy Elliott has resurfaced to bless us with new music of her own; It’s been too damn long! “Throw It Back”, off her latest EP ICONOLOGY<\/a><\/u>, is as good a reminder as any that Missy pioneered so many elements of the modern rap sound: she’s been there and done that decades ago! I was particularly drawn to the boisterous nature of the joint and chose new singles (and potential hits) that had that same spirited tone. From Obie Trice to $tupid Young, by and large, that’s what this playlist represents overall: liveliness! I’m certain that it’ll get you pumped up! (Personally, it’s acting as the cardio complement to Yoshi’s weight room playlist<\/a>. Give it a spin, sweat it out and let me know what you think.)<\/p>\n
