First off, I\u2019m going to start with saying that I hate when I tell people about an artiste that I\u2019m stoked about and nobody pays attention. Do you guys remember when Joyner Lucas released \u201cI\u2019m Not Racist\u201d? The controversial YouTube video<\/a> that went viral? No? Of course not, because y\u2019all never listen to me! So, you can understand why I feel piqued that it is only now, after his release of \u201cDevil\u2019s Work<\/a>\u201d, that people have decided to pay attention and go listen to his songs. Suddenly, I hear things like, \u201cMan, you guys should check out this nigga!<\/i>\u201d \ud83d\ude44\ud83d\ude12\u2026 I\u2019m not mad though; maybe henceforth you guys will start listening to music and artistes I tell you to pay attention to.<\/p>\n

Allow me to introduce myself and my segment to you, this is TheSowF and here is where you get the undiluted truth about music that I find appealing and hopefully (\ud83e\udd1e\ud83c\udffd\ud83e\udd1e\ud83c\udffd\ud83e\udd1e\ud83c\udffd) you guys will find it appealing too.<\/p>\n

One of the things I love most about him is how he says the things that everyday people can relate to. He has addressed depression, suicide, being broke, making it, not giving up\u2026 Yeah yeah, I know you\u2019re wondering why I\u2019m fixated; leave that aside and take a look at the speech that he sampled on \u201cBroke and Stupid<\/a>\u201d off of forthcoming album, ADHD<\/u>.<\/p>\n

First, we’re affected by what we know
\nWhen I talk to the kids in high school classes, college classes
\nThat’s the first thing I tell ’em
\nGet the information while you’re here
\nNothing worse than being stupid when you get out of school
\nSo get the information, being broke is bad
\nBut being stupid is what’s really bad
\nAnd what’s really, really bad is being broke and stupid<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You know those songs you don\u2019t pay attention to until your playlist is on shuffle and it comes on? This was one of those for me and this intro here cracked me up. It comes from American entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker Jim Rohn<\/a> who goes on to say in the interlude:<\/p>\n

And what’s really, really bad is being broke and stupid
\nNothing much worse than that, unless you’re sick
\nLike sick, broke and stupid
\nThat’s about as far as you can fall, unless you’re ugly, right?
\nBut surely that would be the ultimate, right?
\nThe ultimate negative life: ugly, sick, broke and stupid<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\ud83d\ude02\ud83d\ude02\ud83d\ude02 I absolutely loved it! Imagine being ugly, sick, broke and stupid\u2026the ultimate negative life. Like you have to deal with the way people look at you every day! Then you check your pockets and you can\u2019t even smile to the bank because they’re empty. And you\u2019re too sick to work. To top it all off, you\u2019re even too stupid to make anything work!!! I really don\u2019t want to believe anybody can be all four of these things.<\/p>\n

Joyner promised to release songs off of ADHD<\/u> one by one in the first half of the year and he has been quite impressive with \u201cDevil\u2019s Work\u201d, \u201cIsis<\/a>\u201d and \u201cStupid and Broke\u201d\u2026 These are my three favourites. I foresee a bright future for Joyner Lucas and as he said:<\/p>\n

I’m so famous, I could finally hit Jay-Z direct
\nI might hit up Drake, and tell him to send me the jet
\nI might drink C\u00eeroc with Puff, if he send me a check<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
