So I know everyone is still reeling from the just-decided US elections, which were quite frankly a shock.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m currently listening to Novel\u2019s “I Can Be President<\/a>” and after listening to Barack Obama\u2019s victory speech<\/a>, I can\u2019t for the life of me believe that Americans will go from singing “My President is Black<\/a>” to \u201cMy President Is Backed by the KKK!\u201d Talk about a regression! Good thing, in 2020 these guys will once again be at the polls and have the chance to correct this error. Maybe Murs will finally get to be president — after all, he\u2019s got the science<\/a> — or will it be #Kanyeezy2020<\/a>?<\/p>\n As the elections results were trickling in, I read a tweet stating that the opposite for Netflix & Chill is now CNN & Panic and I just kept thinking of that line as I saw the images of all the folks at the Jacob Javits Center<\/a> for Hillay Clinton’s elections night party crying. To them I just wanna say, \u201cOoh child<\/a>, things are gonna get easier\u2026 All you need is one love<\/a>, so people get ready<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Plus, it\u2019s not all doom and gloom. At least four more states have passed a law<\/a> for recreational cannabis use. Now you can be openly friendly with your marijuana man<\/a>.<\/p>\n Anyway, all that aside, we can always be thankful we\u2019ve got music, knowing Common will be there with the street radio for the people<\/a>; even when we are on the streets screaming, \u201cPower to the people!<\/a>\u201d we\u2019ll still have our anthems.rnrnSo dear esteemed readers\/listeners, I hope you enjoy the playlist as much as I did curating it.
